This is a compilation of my feature stories written in my Magazine and Feature Writing class. The first, Scarlet and Gold, is about a Christian lifestyle brand located in Auburn. This feature gives readers a complete history of the store, the inspiration behind their work and their goals for the future. The second is a feature on Keep Auburn Lovely, a local movement in Auburn whose mission is to preserve the downtown charm of Auburn and the fight against big business. The next is a personality profile on Auburn student Carter Palek and how he found his place at Auburn. The last is a feature on Opelika Main Street's bi-annual On The Tracks event, a food and wine festival held to promote downtown Opelika's stores.

These projects all required that I meet and interview different members of the Auburn community including local government officials, store owners, students and participants in the food and wine festival. All four stories shed light on the local charm found in Auburn, Alabama.
