As the director of public relations, I managed a team of 14 student-workers to ensure successful promotion of 60 annual events. My team and I maintained an online presence for UPC events through five different mediums including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and blog. While director, I also created the UPC blog and helped in writing and editing blog posts to share the success of events with Auburn students. I was also responsible for all hospitality and communication with approximately 20 visiting artists annually.
While on the public relations committee, I worked on a team of 14 student-workers whose responsibility was to promote all events planned by the University Program Council. As a committee member, I attended and photographed thirty events hosted by UPC. I also created promotional videos for events later publicized on the UPC Facebook page. My team and I also acted as hosts for eight visiting artists, managing all hospitality.
As social coordinator I designed and facilitated ten social functions a year hosting between 300-500 people per event. For these events I partnered with external vendors including venues, caterers and performers while staying within budget. This position also placed me as a member of the executive council, meeting with the full executive team and advisors monthly to discuss and make chapter decisions.
As the vice president of campus relations, I acted as a liaison between the chapter and the Panhellenic Council as well as 17 Panhellenic sororities. I recorded and tracked all 250 members’ attendance at other chapters' philanthropic events and participated in the decision making process including rules and regulation of the Panhellenic community. This VP position was also on the voting council, therefore I met with the full executive council and advisors monthly to discuss and make chapter decisions.
